The multiplayer for this game was/is heed-blowing, and, although the campaign was merely ok, it is always a game worth playing if y'all have an ethernet cord and an online adapter as people, including myself, still play this regularly.

The game is the greatest thing to hitting playstation 2's world but the only complaint that i have is the lag. one time the lag is gone then u have a 10.
This game nowadays is crap do to the fact that in that location is no longer multiplayer, and the campaign is lame, the story nevertheless is better this time around, but in the end it's simply more of the first game, I can't recommend this game, you tin can safely avoid.

No glitches? Sadly, untrue. In fact, SOCOM ii is a glitchfest, and a game marred by surprising oddities. Nonsensical. The AMAzon-jungle level is a ba***ard for this. And how about that terrorist in the shanty town who vomits THROUGH his confront mask - clever. Disappointing, disappointing, disappointing. Forget online, no manner will I let you use that every bit an alibi (online's great, unmarried player is crap, only who cares?). I Intendance. This game will rule ps2 for ever. There is no wrong going in Socom II, and John ur just the stupid guy that gets voted off for cheating. Yea you lot herrrd. Everyone go out and get Socom Ii !!!!!!!!
This game is cool, i love information technology ever since from Socom 1. socom one is fantastic. Only erm.... Attachment have a lot of work to do for the lag and striking detection issues, its very very serious. My hitting doesn't count and i e'er go killed when i should have put that person down with iv to 5 shots. This is very irritating, i almost thought of giving up the game. Socom 1 do not take this trouble. This game is cool, i honey information technology e'er since from Socom 1. socom 1 is fantastic. But erm.... Zipper take a lot of work to do for the lag and hit detection problems, its very very serious. My hit doesn't count and i always become killed when i should have put that person down with 4 to 5 shots. This is very irritating, i almost thought of giving up the game. Give it a 6 or least, teams & histrion usually throw grenades then shut that explosions catches them; actor unremarkably accept to employ silenced guns in all missions, and with 'em, enemies got downward only after 4-5shoots; Hey! we don't need a rocket launcher, but give united states of america more than powerful guns!! We need to see Socom III soon.
Afterwards socom, i only like 3rd person shooters. The all-time online console shooter ever.
Having a "sneak pinnacle" of this game, I am a little disappointed. Too much lag, servers crash, no fog glitches. i hope they become fixed.

Fifty-fifty with the lag i yet requite it a 10 outa 10. I recollect they did a great task the lag will be stock-still i hope but hey anyways still a super game.
The beginning Socom game was the best F-ing game I've e'er played, and I've played a lot. Socom 2 I know is gonna kick ass. Keep upwardly the good work "Sony".

This is a great game fun to the bone. Ghost can't even hold a candle to information technology, which would exist X-box's only comeback. New improvents rock, the all-time i so far that I've noticed is that it takes more to bring someone down (not two hits in the leg!) Y'all will like information technology, if you don't check your pulse cuz your expressionless friend!

This game is astonishing. y'all play the game equally a retired cowboy, who was forced to live on the streets of persia after the surviving the common cold war of mongolia. Y'all can perform moves such as butslapp!! which stuns your enemy for 1 and a half hours. This gives u time to perform other moves ranging from spine tear !!!! to chest seize with teeth. The beginning socom was and still is the all-time game on ps2 until socom2 comes out i give information technology a ten.
I don't know why johns complaining about no glitches i judge he's a footling cheater himself. Oh well this game will exist one to call back!!!!

This game can be game of the year
The best game i've seen in a long time. It will own all other games for a long time. Information technology is similar Vice Metropolis all over once again.
This game is one of the best games i played... the only cheat i take constitute is that u can push r3 to get more ammo but works for awhile but works good when u really need it socom is way easier than socom 2 just i dont know which is better i recomend everyone to play them both.
This game is crawly i can't get off of it for i sec.

I am a Beta Tester for Socom II. I've been playing it for about a month and a one-half now. Yes there are some bug with the beta...but according to Sony and Attachment interactive they have been worked out. I do go booted quite frequently, there are some bugs, and some new weapons bug...all the same, they have all been stock-still. Even with these former problems on the Beta I notwithstanding play information technology every single I am a Beta Tester for Socom II. I've been playing information technology for about a calendar month and a half now. Yeah in that location are some issues with the beta...but co-ordinate to Sony and Zipper interactive they have been worked out. I practice get booted quite often, at that place are some bugs, and some new weapons problems...however, they have all been fixed. Even with these one-time issues on the Beta I even so play it every unmarried twenty-four hours. Go out now and preorder Socom II. If you even remotely enjoyed the first Socom you will love this one. Just don't purchase it expecting information technology to exist Socom with new maps...it has changed...but for the ameliorate!!!…Expand

I can't say this game is perfect but it is a lot better than the starting time i in every way. No other game in the aforementioned genre can beat this game. This game is a lot better than Any Medal of Award game ,dessert storm, rainbow half-dozen iii,half-life,halo, and whatever other game out in that location in which you have to piece of work as a team. I must say Sony And Zipper Interactive did a really proficient task in making this I can't say this game is perfect just it is a lot better than the first one in every way. No other game in the same genre can trounce this game. I love this game its the best playing online with other players its awsome All-time GAME EVER I SWEAR NO Prevarication.

Many SOCOM fans declared this game to be the all-time of the series. Having only played this and the offset one, however, I really tin't tell. Just, wow, this game was and is yet awesome. The campaign is now less linear and the AI for both sides are improved. Some other characteristic which I loved is bonus objectives. These are hidden objectives which tin can only exist discovered after completing them, and soMany SOCOM fans declared this game to exist the all-time of the serial. Having only played this and the first one, nevertheless, I really tin can't tell. But, wow, this game was and is all the same awesome. The campaign is now less linear and the AI for both sides are improved. Another feature which I loved is bonus objectives. These are hidden objectives which can only exist discovered afterward completing them, and then you really have to experiment and explore a lot to discover them, like finding maps, or sabotaging vehicles. Commonly, when you finish a bonus objective, it makes the side by side mission easier. I feet quite rewarded.
In that location is online play and it IS awesome. Why did I use present-tense you lot say? Afterward all, aren't the servers shutdown? Yeah, the official servers are down, merely online play is still possible using LAN tunneling with Xlink Kai. And there is quite a number of people in the customs in that location. I'm not playing many shooters at the moment but SOCOM 2 sort of got me ahead mentally and confirmed some of my prejudices concerning weapons an military kind of stuff i had in real life. In the game you have singleplayer campaign mode and a multiplayer skirmish fashion and the ability to equip 4 soldiers and toI played the game as of 2015 after having information technology bought used several years ago. I'm not playing many shooters at the moment merely SOCOM 2 sort of got me alee mentally and confirmed some of my prejudices concerning weapons an military kind of stuff i had in real life. In the game you have singleplayer campaign mode and a multiplayer skirmish mode and the ability to equip 4 soldiers and to command them while fighting first person or over the shoulder view. At least with the version I ain the single player campaign isn't fully scripted only calculates what happens by adventure and based on the fact if yous carry explosives and want to use them (then the enemies practise also). So no 2 unmarried player games are the same and the enemies announced with different weaponry and at dissimilar identify throughout the campaign. I think the game is a strong buy at the moment. My opinion (as confirmed by this game) is every bit follows: Outset: It doesn't help to be stealth. If y'all can acquire a superior and more than accurate weapon you can fire fully automatic and have more than range and "punch" then its a better choice compared to a silenced 1. If you don't take anti-tank weapons avoid them. 5th: Most probably you are non going to find the bomb someone tries to accident upward stuff with in the first place if nobody marks it for you on the map but get killed by information technology or somebody yous crash-land into while searching for it. That's true in the game and in reality. Comparing SOCOM II to other tactical shooters and having played the operation flash points, call of duty and the metal gear solid games I think SOCOM II is more realistic. You can besides pit the fn90 vs. an m14 which is quite interesting, since the m14 even so wins because of its higher range. I think this is also true in real life, which sort of shows the shortcoming of a personal defence force weapon (small and comfortable to acquit only not potent enough if you lot need it), but I did not verify if the fn90 is portrayed correctly in the game.…Expand

SOCOM II: U.Southward. Navy Seals was and still is one of the best tactical shooter games not only on PlayStation 2, simply ever released! You get a perfect interplay between realism and fun gameplay, cute graphics and smoothen controls. But the multiplayer had some issues, but single actor is brilliant! Very addictive, fifty-fifty today!
